What makes your tours “strange & unusual”?
Our tours are built for folks who have already seen all the main NYC attractions - maybe this is your 2nd, 3rd or 4th trip to the Big Apple, and you wanna do a deeper dive.
Daria is a character - she’s been in NYC for 20 years, and she has hobbies that include competing in crossword competitions, making large sparkly costumes for the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and crafting custom lamps from colonial figural lamps of the mid-20th century, re-making them to look like zombies and horror scenes.
Is there transportation available?
While we will do our best to accommodate many different abilities on tour, please do expect to be walking and on your feet for the majority of the tour.
These are walking tours, not operated by car/bus/taxi/train.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Our tours run rain or shine, but if there is especially severe weather (torrential downpour, dangerous winds, etc., there is the potential for a tour to be canceled. If the tour is canceled by Strange & Unusual NYC Tours, you will receive a full refund and a 20% discount offer to book on another date within 6 months from the cancellation date.
